American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP): is the national organization representing the interests of pharmaceutical education and educators.

American College of Clinical Pharmacy : a professional and scientific society for Clinical Pharmacists.

American Pharmaceutical Association: the national professional society of pharmacists. They provide professional information and education for pharmacists


Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance Institute: exclusively dedicated to partnering with the enterprise-wide Information Quality profession. QAI is an international organization consisting of member companies in search of effective methods for detection-software quality control and prevention-software quality assurance.

Twin Cities Quality Assurance Association: Located in the metropolitan area of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, the Twin Cities Quality Assurance Association (TCQAA) has been supporting software organizations and information technology professionals since 1986.

Quality Assurance Review Center: The Quality Assurance Review Center (QARC) is a National Data and Review Center. QARC provides radiotherapy and diagnostic imaging quality assurance programs for several National Cooperative Cancer Groups. It is an established research resource for clinical investigators around the world.

International Journal of Quality Assurance: The International Journal of Health Care Quality Assurance (IJHCQA) aims to broaden your knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and its implementation in organizations. Assurance provides a much needed resource for all those involved in developing, initiating and monitoring quality assurance programmes in the health care industry.


Radiology

American Board of Radiology: responsible for setting national standards in various fields of Radiology.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: this is the certification agency of the US for Radiology professionals. The ARRT provide and administer the national certification examination.

American Society of Radiologic Technologists: provides its members with educational opportunities, promotes radiologic technology as a career and monitors state and federal legislation that affects the profession.

American Roentgen Ray Society : the oldest radiology society in the United States. The society is dedicated to the goal of the advancement of medicine through the science of radiology.

American College of Radiology: a nonprofit professional society whose purposes are to improve service to the patient, advance the science of radiology, and encourage continuing education for radiologists.

Radiological Society of North America: provides radiologists and allied health scientists with educational programs and materials and seeks to promote research in all aspects of Radiology and related sciences.

International Society of Radiographers and Radiologic Technologists: an organization composed of sixty-one national radiographic societies from fifty-seven countries. It acts as a link between radiographers and radiological technologists throughout the world.


Social Work

Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB): the association of regulatory boards for social work, including 49 US states, the District of Columbia, the US Virgin Islands and Alberta, Canada. They develop and maintain the national licensing exam for social work.

National Association of Social Workers (NASW): a US membership organization for the profession of social work. They offer life insurance, liability insurance, State and Federal representation, and more to members.

International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW): a global organization of professional orgaizations of social work. An excellent resource for international social work links.

Clinical Social Work Federation: a joint group of 31 state societies of Clinical Social Work. They keep track of current national trends, and offer members many benefits and programs.

Physical Therapy

American Physical Therapy Association: a professional association for Physical Therapy professionals.

Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy: the joint association of all US State Boards of Physical Therapy. THe FSBPT has designed and administer the national certifying exam for US Physical Therapists.

Respiratory Therapy

National Board for Respiratory Care: the national regulatory board for Respiratory Therapists in the US.

Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists: the national regulatory board for Respiratory Therapists in the Canada.

Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals: a society of professionals with for the cardiovascular area. Members include Respiratory Therapists and MD's,

Lambda Beta Society: the national honor society for Respiratory Therapy.

American Association for Respiratory Care: a professional society for Respiratory Care Practitioners.

American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP): provides certification for medical laboratory professionals in a variety of specialties. If you wish to work in the USA, please start by visiting this site.

International Association of Medical Laboratory Technologists: an excellent resource for those interested in international issues for Medical Laboratory Technology. Membership is not available for individuals, but if you are a member of one of the 40 member societies, you hold automatic membership.

American Medical Technologists: an alternate certifying body for Medical Laboratory Technologists in the United States.


MRI Technicians

American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers: nonprofit organization in operation to administer examinations and award credentials in the areas of diagnostic medical sonography. Start here if you are looking to work in the US.

Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers: an international professional society, based in the US, for professionals who practice sonography.

American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine: a source of continuing education in Ultrasound. Members include physicians, scientists, sonographers, medical students and more.
